As some people may know a dissertation is an obscenely long 'essay' ranging between 10,000 - 15,000 words... and I've decided to write my on the feasibility of Micro-scale Parish Management on a National level with a specific focus on a current GIS Management System, Parish Online.
Parish Online is a parish management system that I was involved with during my second year as a project manager for Getmapping and Spatial Technology. Its a pretty intuitive piece of software that allows web-based mapping that the Parishes have access to under mapping agreements with Ordnance Survey that entitlement to mapping.

Pretty interesting stuff eh?
What my dissertation aims to research is whether this software package will carry the benefits it was rolled out across nationally! (UK by the way)
Well, thats all for tonight, off to check out some Surveying equipment tomorrow with my fellow course-mates, hopefully that goes well and I can log the time properly!
Cylates,
Luke
